This is a view out of our team bus at night. We traveled several days in the evening and at pre-dawn hours.
As Rwanda is a very mountainous country the roads tend to wind back and forth for miles and miles.
Our driver, Innocent was very good at navigating the many twists and turns and ups and downs while keeping us safe.
We also took the bus off road for visiting sights, getting to hikes and various destinations. We did have one point where the bus got stuck as we crossed a culvert covered with wood - one of the planks broke and we were stuck in the hole.
Our guide extraordinaire, Jeremiah, immediately jumped into action. He waved down the road for 5 young kids to come help. They immediately ran to us and helped us push the bus out!
It wasn't the fact they helped which was special but the immediate willingness to drop everything and sprint down the road to help us. What a gift.
