After the technical school on Thursday morning, we made our way from from Musanze to Cyangugu. It is a very long drive and we had to make several stops along the way. Unfortunately, we had a few team members not feeling 100% for the long drive.
We had to make an emergency stop along the way because Marla felt sick. There are very few areas along this part of the country to pull off without putting your vehicle and passengers in danger because of such windy roads. It just happened that there was a pull off area right where we stopped so we safely pulled into it.
When off the bus, we realized we had stopped by a school - we couldn't see it behind a fence but we heard children. Well it didn't take long for them to see us and a crowd quickly gathered along the fence and then they came around it and surrounded us.
One of the directors came out and greeted us and we discovered that this was a primary school. Interestingly, as we spoke further, we realized they were looking for a relationship with a school in the US. Wow, what are the chances. We exchanged email and offered to try to connect with this school with one in Westborough.
Thanks Marla!
